Perl Build History

This file, introduced in sbotools-4.1, has a list of first-build times for major perl versions in Slackware, sourced mostly from the Slackware Cumulative Archive. Slackware ARM and 32-bit Slackware have relatively limited coverage; if you have access to older packages for these architectures (or know where to find them), please consider contacting the maintainer.

Slackware Support

sbotools currently supports Slackware 15.0 and beyond. The most recent version supporting 14.0, 14.1 and 14.2 is sbotools-4.0.2, packaged here for convenience:

Configuration Note

sbotools installs a default configuration file to /etc/sbotools/sbotools.conf. Although a sbotools.conf file generated by version 2.7 will be compatible, some of the options are new. Users may want to inspect sbotools.conf.new after building and installing a post-3.0 version for the first time.
